I must confess that the groom Gray is my fiancée’s Uncle so this was in essence a family wedding which usually I don’t do – preferring to be a guest. But what a fun day it turned out to be!
Another new venue DoubleTree Hilton by the banks of the River Cam was the fantastic venue.
Arriving early to capture Ann & her bridal party getting ready I then met Gray outside greeting the guests. Plenty of banter between Gray and his sons ensured a humorous ceremony, but not before Gray’s tears as his new wife walked down the aisle. A few fumbled vows added to the scene just before the officials declaring “ I now pronounce you man and wife”.. the cheers were amazing!
Gray and Ann headed off down river on a punt while I took footage of guests mingling… the photographer had fun getting all the group shots done such was the banter and fun going on.
When Ann & Gray entered the reception, I thought the ceiling was going to collapse such was the cheers and applause… truly great scenes… would Photos alone have captured this….?
Speeches were hilarious…. best leave that there, ahem… Onto the cutting of the cake and dancing… more tears from Gray here and rightly so.
Celebrations went on long into the night – we had all the family favourites… YMCA, It’s Raining Men, Oops Up Side Your Head… all captured for posterity and possible banter blackmail. Another cracking day done… Phew
I would like to thank Gray & Ann for choosing me to capture their Wedding day.
